Breaking Away Yellow

This breaking away has become a series with me, After a thirteen year turbulent marriage and walking away from it, there are times I have felt as if I was in free fall.  Finding my center has been a challenge and even though I feel like I am finding it, I still find myself looking for something to grab hold of.  Mother Nature is such a constant for me, a wonder and a regulator, I am blessed and so grateful for my friends, family and my muse.  Although my creating time is less it is more for the less.

Color is NeoColorII, black ind and pen, my ever wonderful Silhouette and PhotoShop CS.  Happy Memorial Day!

Breaking Away Blue

The more I work with the NeoColorII the more I love it, it is creamy, dreamy, color and is blendable, lol is blendable a word, with so many different results.  I used 3 blues on this, same colors for the background and the butterflies, fun fun fun.

I am stretching and it is fueling my imagination and my willingness to step outside the box, I guess literally on this piece.  Hugs to all - have a safe and happy weekend. Hugs

From packing material to hole punch cradle

I have had an extra busy week, one filled with some creativity and some great steps forward.  My much loved Durango has a heart problem, to be corrected soon with the replacement of 7 fuel injectors by my multi talented son.  His payment for this work was a Hefty Tool Box, 52" long with 10 drawers, weighing in at 238 pounds.  It arrived on Wednesday and we went to pick it up and install it at his job site.  As the unpacking began, they started pulling these amazing corner panels made from layer upon layer of cardboard, they saw trash, I saw a booking binding cradle and quickly absconded with them.
Yesterday, I was sharing with my roommate what plan I had for them, I have the most wonderful roommate, He took the panel and questioned more on what it was I wanted to accomplish, so I went into the process it would need to preform, he said, "let me think on it".  I am telling you in no time at all he brought the cradle in and asked if this is what I had in mind.  It is not only perfect, it is magic, lol.
It is approx. 12"X12", it will store away nicely in my 5'X2' studio haven and since I am concentrating on mini art journals right now not only in the name of storage but also because I have less time to work on the pages now, this is perfect.  Art journaling is my life-line right now, it helps eliminate my stress and also allows me to see where my focus is and adjust when needed. Life is good and I am blessed.  Hope all of you are heaped with blessings this weekend, hugs

Blessings

When I was making my decisions on what to stock in my little haven studio I have to admit I was a little bummed, because of space and size I decided on my inktense pencils, NeoII crayons and Chameleon markers. At the time I was so sure I would not be able to live without my Copic markers, I still miss them but have found a wonderful fascination with the choice I made, as I blend and play with what I have.  The pear is the result of 5 different color layers.  The cutlery is about a hundred years old and belonged to my roommates grandoarents.  Photoshop and my Silhouette DS made the elements possible.  Have a great week and create where and when you can, hugs

Happy Birthday Card

Whoo, it is so hard to believe I have gone a month without posting, Life is crazy right now, but I have had some time to create and play with my camera, so it is good.  My roommate went up to the mountains yesterday and came back with this gorgeous bunch of Dogwood Blooms, this morning I could not wait to play with them.  I had a birthday card on my todo list, I paired the Dogwood up with a photograph I did early last month of some yummy daisies.
Using my PhotoShop and Silhouette DS I created the Dogwood element and then layered over my photograph.  Used a rub-on for the HAPPY BIRTHDAY.  I love how the color came out on the Dogwood, I have been experimenting with a technique using my inktense pencils with my Neocolor II crayons, love, love, love the process and the results.

This is the beautiful spray of Dogwoods my roommate brought home yesterday, inspiration is one of the greatest gifts ever!

 Have great Monday, hugs
