The Wedding Book
This book was created for the groom of a very special bride, she wanted him to have her vows written as a list of promises to keep for always. I am not posting her vows but am posting the inside cover and title page. I wanted to replicate the look of leather for the covers, so over the course of several days with my Copic markers and airbrush came up with a layer of colors that worked, I then used an Ancient Page Dye Ink pad a texture stamp for some of the veining. When it was dry I closed my eyes lifted up the sheet and crumpled it several times and then ironed it on the back side. It worked! I used the large scalloped metal photo corners with my Home Pro and bound it with the Cinch. The label tag was cut with Bags,Tags Boxes and More, the candles were cut with Joys of the Season.
Then it was on to the box that would hold the book, this was truly a challenge, it was also about the time I was preparing to begin the great QUIT SMOKING saga. So my patience level has been rather low. This box about pushed me over the edge, but I am glad I stuck with it. It was designed with Design Studio and it is a whole other post but I will say that it is 2 pieces. Do you see the glass blown mermaid on the side (wow was that ever a find). She is his Mermaid. I did the leather look on the outside and inside sprayed it a dark green. Their wedding colors were green and purple.
For the inside front and back covers I used the front and back of their invitation. For the book which had 20 pages I printed out the title page and her vows (promises) on an ivory linen and attached it to the book page I used watercolor paper for the book pages. The photo corners were the same leather look as the covers as well as the swirl which is QK. The happy couple are off to Disney Land this morning and then onto Cabo - and they will live Happily Ever After. Have a great Sunday. Hugs
