BBTB2-Challenge/Tags,Bags,Boxes&More

Monday welcomes you to BBTB2 Challenge and we are hosted by Regina Easter today, she challenged us to the crayola box on "Bags,Tags,Boxes and More". Please check out our blog site to see all the wonderful ideas for this box. I remember when this cart first came out, I thought I had died and gone to heaven, it is still one of the most used carts in my stash. There is always something creative lurking in the background on this one. So I ended up doing a take on an Advent Calendar as it counts down from Dec 1 to Christmas day. And - this is how it was done.
I cut the crayola box as big as it would go using the 12"X24" mat and a 17"X11" 110lb piece of card stock. The final box measurements are 6"X8". Then cut another piece of 17"X11" card stock to 5 3/4" X 15" and folded it in half yielding a card 5 3/4" X 7 1/2". The box acts as
storage when not in use. When in use the box acts as the back of the easel, the back flap of the card is slipped into the closed box. The pocket on the back of the box is used to store the "Days before Christmas" 1-24. The soldier was cut from "Joys of the Season", his right arm was articulated using a brad. The numbers were cut using "Mickey Font". The trees were cut using "Bloom".

The pocket was cut with an Ellison die from Graphic45 cardstock. The front of the box, background continues with Graphic 45, and dies are from Sizzix. All coloring was done with Copic markers and Copic Airbrush. Happy Monday one and all, Hugs

ps - I am sure that you will know where I can get a pack of silver, sparkly post-it notes ? Can I find them anywhere !!! You seem to be able to customise the design but not to have just the colour you want.... even better if they can be purloined online !! thank you
