gelli pulls on parchment

My friend Christy saw my blog post yesterday and emailed me that she had seen someone using parchment for the gelli pulls and that they were pretty dramatic.  This morning first thing I decided to try a couple, The top one has been wrinkled 3 or 4 time.  There were two pulls done on each piece, first blue and white and then brown and white.  I am using kitchen parchment and it wants to roll up on itself when you lift it off the plate, so be prepared to grab the bottom before it does, it does not do it so much if you wrinkle the paper first. The wrinkled piece is the most dramatic of the two, it might be a bear to get it to adhere to the journal page though, I will try that and let you know.  I still love the tissue pulls the best.  Have a great week, hugs

Love it! My favorite colors too. King Arthur flour sells half sheet parchment (12 x 17)which comes flat. I use it all the time for cooking and baking. No rolling up. hugs, eileen

Sandil, these are so cool! The texture is amazing. I just watched a video on the the gell plate and it's now on my list. Are you using acrylic paints? How do you think it would work with tempera paints?
